On Sunday, April 23, 2018 at 10:57 p.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a road rage incident on Hwy 4/18 that concluded with disorderly conduct situation occurring in the area of the Brookstone Lodge in Emmetsburg, Ia. Following an investigation into the incident, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested John Tatman (55) of Graettinger, IA on the charge of Disorderly Conduct, a simple misdemeanor. Tatman was subsequently transported to the Palo Alto County Jail where he was booked and is currently awaiting his initial appearance before the judge. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmetsburg Police Department during the investigation.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
