On 07/13/2019 at 5:31 a.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a motorcycle deer accident that occurred in the 3100 block 420th Ave., Graettinger, Iowa. Following the investigation the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office determined that Roger Swanson (62) of Graettinger was operating a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle south bound in the 3100 block 420th Ave when a deer emerged from the east ditch and collided with the motorcycle. The motorcycle sustained major damaged and is deemed to be a total loss. Roger reported minor injuries as a result of the accident.
