On June 18, 2019 at 9:28 p.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a reckless driver near 508 South Washington Avenue in Graettinger. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office determined a 2004 Chevrolet Caviler was being operated by a juvenile subject in a reckless manner. The reporting party, Jeremy Griffith (23) of Graettinger was upset at the reckless driver as it passed by the residence and threw an aluminum baseball bat at the car. The bat would strike the rear quarter panel of the car causing damage to the car. Griffith was charged with criminal mischief in the 5th degree, a simple misdemeanor.
The juvenile driver of the vehicle was charged with reckless driving, a simple misdemeanor.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
