On Sunday, June 21, 2020, at 12:35 am, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a car/deer accident in the 4500 block of 460th Avenue (Hwy 4). Following an investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office determined that Kathy Rubel (62) of Plover, was driving her 2018 Subaru Outback southbound in the 4500 block of 460th Avenue. A deer entered the roadway from the west ditch and was struck by Rubel’s vehicle. There were no injuries reported in the accident. Rubel’s vehicle sustained an estimated $18,000.00 damage as a result of the accident.
