On 2/6/2018 at 1:27 a.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a car vs. deer accident that occurred in the 3300 block of 460th Avenue. According to the investigation by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, a 2008 Chevrolet HHR, owned and driven by Brooklynn Nikole Jayne age 25 of Emmetsburg, was traveling north when a deer emerged from the east ditch area and onto the roadway, striking Jayne. The Jayne vehicle sustained approximately $2000.00 in damages. There were no reported injuries of the accident.
