On Thursday, December 28, 2017, at 05:57 a.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a car/deer accident in the 4000 block of 460th Avenue (Hwy 4). Following an investigation into the complaint, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office determined that Jessica Sinning (39), from Pocahontas, was driving her 2011 Toyota Rav4 southbound in the 4000 of 460th Avenue. A deer entered the roadway from the east ditch and was struck by Sinning’s vehicle. There were no injuries reported in the accident. Sinning’s vehicle sustained an estimated $500.00 damage in the accident.
