The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate a report of a car vs. deer accident that occurred on the morning of 7-27-2017 at approximately 2:00 a.m. Following an investigation, it was determined that Cody Heddinger (22) of Emmetsburg, Ia. was driving his 2004 Ford Explorer westbound in the 4100 block of 405th Street when a deer exited the ditch. The Heddinger vehicle struck the animal causing an estimated $1500 in damage. No injuries were reported from the accident.
