On Saturday, May 06, 2017, at 9:01 pm, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint in reference to a car/deer accident in the 3900 block of 360th Street. Following an investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office determined that Lena Peters (35) of Emmetsburg was driving her 2009 Pontiac Vibe eastbound in the 3900 block of 360th Street. A deer entered the roadway from the south ditch and was struck by Peters’ vehicle. There were no injuries reported in the accident. Peter’s vehicle sustained an estimated $3,500.00 damage in the accident.
