On 9/5/2021 at 9:08 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a single vehicle non injury vehicle vs. deer accident in the 3200 block of River Road. According to the investigation, a 2005 Cadillac STS driven by Carson William Mattson, age 17 of Graettinger but owned by Amanda Jean Lawson of Graettinger was traveling north on River Road when a deer emerged from the west ditch and onto the traveled portion of the roadway. The deer contacted the Cadillac on the driver’s side portion of the vehicle causing an estimated $1500 to the 2005 Cadillac.
