On November 14, 2019, at 2:23 a.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a car deer accident in the 4400 Block of 360th Street just west of Emmetsburg. Upon investigation it was determined a 2012 Chevrolet Impala registered to and operated by Alexis Whitney (22) of Emmetsburg, IA. was westbound on 360th Street when a deer emerged in the roadway. Whitney’s vehicle collided with the deer which caused an estimated $4,000 damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported at the scene.
