On 11-23-15 at 9:25 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a car / deer accident in the 3800 block of 460th Av. south of Emmetsburg. A 2002 Buick Lesabre, owned and driven by Russell August Johnson of Emmetsburg, was heading north when he struck a deer that entered the roadway. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5000. There were no injuries reported in this accident.
