On Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 7:08 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a car/deer accident in the 3800 block of Highwy 4. Jeremiah Schlegel of Fort Dodge, was driving his 2016 Buick Lacrosse southbound in the 3800 block of Highway 4, when a deer entered the roadway from the west ditch and was struck by Schlegel’s vehicle. There was an estimated $2,000.00 damage to Schlegel’s vehicle. There were no injuries reported in the accident.
