On Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 9:36 p.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 3400 block of 460th Ave. for a report of a car v. deer accident. Upon investigation, it was determined that Melody Blinkmann of Estherville, Ia was driving her 2017 Dodge Durango northbound in the 3400 block of 460th Ave. when a deer entered the roadway from the east ditch. The Blinkmann vehicle struck the animal, causing an estimated $2000 damage. No injuries were reported at the scene.
