On 04/02/2018 at 6:34 a.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s received a report of a car/ deer accident in the 5000 block of 440th Street. Upon investigation it was determined that a 2016 Chevy Equinox, driven and owned by Robin Lynn Dietrich of Mallard, was eastbound on 440th Street when she struck a deer that had entered the roadway from the north ditch. Damage to the Chevy is estimated at $8,000.00. No injuries were reported on scene.
