On 1-8-2018 at 7:08 p.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 3500 block of 530th Ave. for a report of a car vs. animal accident. Upon investigation it was determined that Allen Will (57), of Cylinder, was driving his 2013 Dodge Caravan northbound in the 3500 block of 530th Ave. when a raccoon exited the west ditch and entered the roadway. The Will vehicle struck the animal causing an estimated $1250 damage. No injuries were reported at the scene.
