On 6-1-2019 at 2122 hrs, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate a man threatening another with a gun located at 1806 Washington St. in Ruthven. As a result of the investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36 yr. R. Kendal Baschke of Ruthven on the charges of Assault while displaying a dangerous weapon (Aggravated Misdemeanor), Harassment 1st Degree (Aggravated Misdemeanor) and Disorderly Conduct (Simple Misdemeanor). Baschke was arrested without incident and transported to the Palo Alto County Jail. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
