On Tuesday, May 15th, 2018, at 2:36 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about a man being assaulted at 307 South Jackson Street, Graettinger. Following an investigation into the complaint, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nathan Ehrig (36), of Emmetsburg. Ehrig was charged with assault causing bodily injury, which is a serious misdemeanor. Ehrig was transported, without incident, to the Palo Alto County Jail and booked in to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
