On 8/1/18 at approximately 8:30 A.M. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received information about a possible violation of a no-contact order at a campsite in Kearney State Park in Emmetsburg. Deputies with the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office and Officers with the Emmetsburg Police Department responded and Deputies recognized Duane Harry Poage (51) of Loveland Colorado, to be in violation of a Palo Alto County No-Contact Order and a Colorado No-Contact Order. While Deputies were taking Poage into custody, drug paraphernalia was located inside a tent. Following the arrest of Poage, a Search Warrant for the camp site was applied for and granted. During the investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Duane Harry Poage (51) of Loveland Colorado on two counts of Violation of a No-Contact Order, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, all Simple Misdemeanors. Poage was placed in jail to await his initial appearance before a judge. Nicole Faye Poage (46) of Milford and Prescilla Arlene Origer (19) of Estherville, were both arrested on charges of Possesson of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor. Both Origer and Poage were placed in jail to await their initial appearances before a judge. Paul Kenneth Davis (28) of May City, was arrested on charges of Violation of a No-Contact Order and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, both Simple Misdemeanors. Davis was placed in jail to await his initial appearance before a judge. Hunter Alexis Origer (23) of Estherville was arrested on a valid Emmet County Arrest Warrant for Criminal Mischief. Hunter Origer was transported to the Emmet County line and released to the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted throughout the investigation by the Emmetsburg Police Department.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
