On 12-23-2020 at 1:35 pm, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 3400 block of 420 ave. Jamie Stevicks, Emmetsburg, was driving a 2005 Kia Optima south bound and began to slower her vehicle when she was struck by a 2016 International semi driven by Jeremia Marron, Carroll, Ia. There was an estimated $1,000 damage to the Stevick’s vehicle and $1,000 damage to the Marron’s semi. There were not injuries.
Marron was cited for failure to reduce speed to a reasonable and proper rate.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
