On 11/5/2020 at 10:33 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a single vehicle deer collision that occurred in the 3800 block of 460th Avenue. According to the investigation, a 2003 Chevrolet 1500 owned and driven by Chadney Wojahn Clausen, age 54 of Mallard, was traveling south on 460th Avenue. A deer emerged from the east ditch and onto the traveled portion of the roadway where the Clausen vehicle struck the deer. The Clausen vehicle sustained an estimated $4000 worth of damages. There were no reported injuries as a result of the accident.
