On December 24, 2019 at 11:17 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a car/deer accident in the 3300-block of 460th Avenue. A 2014 Ford Fusion, driven by Zachary Girres (21) of Graettinger, was northbound on 460th Avenue when a deer emerged in the roadway. The Girres vehicle collided with the deer causing an estimated $5,000 in damage. No injuries were reported in the accident.
