On Saturday 06/15/2019 at approximately 11:30 p.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated the report of a car/deer accident in the 4400 block of Burns Rd. Following the investigation the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office determined that Doug Ort (51) of Emmetsburg was driving a 2007 Chevy Impala eastbound in the 4400 block of Burns Rd. when a deer emerged from the north ditch and struck the vehicle Mr. Ort was driving. There was an estimated $4500.00 damage to the vehicle, and there were no reported injuries as a result of the accident.
