On 10/02/2021 at 8:12 P.M. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 4500 block of 390th St., Emmetsburg, Iowa to investigate a car verses deer accident. A 2011 Chevy Malibu, operated by David DeTar (24) of Estherville, was west bound when a deer emerged from the ditch and collided with the vehicle. The vehicle sustained approximately $4000.00 worth of damages and was towed from the scene. There were no reported injuries as a result of the accident.
