On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 8:23 p.m., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate a car versus deer accident. Upon investigation, it was determined a 2013 Ford F-250 owned and operated by Kolten Long (21) of Ringsted, IA., was southbound in the 3700-blk of 440th Avenue when a deer emerged in the roadway. Long’s vehicle collided with the deer causing an estimated $3,500 in damage. No injuries were reported at the scene.
