Accident

On Saturday, July 9th, 2017 at 12:10 a.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the corner of 340th Street and 340th Avenue for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver of the 1990 Dodge Dakota, Gene Hall (78) of Dickens, Ia was driving westbound in the 3400 block of 340th Street when he failed to obey a stop sign located at the intersection of 340th Avenue and 340th Street. Hall proceeded into the T intersection where he entered the west ditch. Hall was unable to exit the ditch after becoming stuck. Hall was seen and released by the Palo Alto County Ambulance service with no injuries. Following an investigation, Hall was issued citations for Failure to Provide Security Against Liability, Failure to Maintain Control, Open Container and Failure to Obey a Stop Sign.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
