On 5/9/2021, at 12:22 A.M. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a call on a single vehicle car accident at the intersection of 490th Avenue and 280th Street. After an investigation it was determined that a 2018 Chevrolet Cruz, owned and operated by Evans Nyabwari(27) of Emmetsburg, was trying to navigate a right turn off of 490th Avenue onto 280th Street, when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest in the south west ditch of the intersection. The vehicle sustained an estimated $2000.00 worth of damage as a result of the accident. Nyabwari was cited for failure to maintain control. Minor injuries were reported.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
