On 2/3/2021, at approximately 7:13 P.M., the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a single vehicle verse deer accident. After an investigation it was determined that Landon Haack of Emmetsburg, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu, owned by Richard Haack of Emmetsburg, and was traveling south on 460th Avenue. In the 3900 Block of 460th Avenue, a deer emerged out of the west ditch and onto the roadway, Haack’s vehicle struck the deer causing an estimated $2500.00 worth of damage. There were no reports of injuries.
