On 1/17/2020, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to a car vs. deer accident. After an investigation the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office determined that Chelsea Zaragoza (30) of Ruthven, was driving a 2016 Ford Fusion in the 3400 Block of 360th Street, when a deer emerged from the ditch and onto the roadway. Zaragoza struck the deer with her vehicle causing an estimated $3000.00 worth of damage to the front driver’s side fender area. There were no reports of injuries from the collision.
