On January 7th, 2021, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 4800 Block of 370th Avenue. Following an investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office determined that William Hickman (31) of Laurens was driving a 2004 GMC Sierra pick up northbound in the 4800 Block of 370th Avenue. At the curve on 370th Avenue, Hickman’s vehicle went straight into the ditch, hit an embankment and became airborne before hitting a fence and some boulders. Hickman’s vehicle sustained an estimated $6000.00 worth of damage, and $200.00 worth of damage to the fence from the accident. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office cited Hickman for failure to maintain control of his vehicle. There were no reports of injuries from the accident.
