On 07/30/2015 at approximately 7:41 a.m. the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate a three vehicle accident at the intersection of 360th Street and 340th Avenue. Upon investigation it was determined that a Blue 2003 Dodge Neon driven by Jessica Ann Egeland of Ruthven was westbound on 360th Street when she failed to notice a Silver 2011 Chevy Silverado driven by Kyle Dean Krieger of Terril stopped in the roadway awaiting a left hand turn onto 340th Avenue. The Egeland vehicle struck the rear passenger side of the Krieger vehicle forcing the Krieger vehicle out into oncoming traffic. Subsequently the Krieger vehicle was struck by an oncoming Blue 2000 Chevy Malibu driven by Courtney Breanne Heikens of Spencer. All three vehicles were deemed a total loss.
No injuries were reported on scene.
Egeland was cited for failure to prove security against liability- accident related and failure to reduce speed to a reasonable and proper rate.
