Search Warrant and Drug Arrests

On Tuesday, May 25th, 2021, at 12:45 pm, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance at 1607 Burns Street, Ruthven. While investigating the disturbance, Deputies located illegal narcotics inside of the residence. A search warrant was then executed by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office. Following the investigation, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jesse Colhour (24) of Ruthven, charging him with possession of controlled substance 3rd offense methamphetamine = class D felony; possession of controlled substance 2nd offense marijuana = serious misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia = simple misdemeanor; criminal mischief 5th degree = simple misdemeanor; and simple assault = simple misdemeanor. Colhour was transported, without incident, to the Palo Alto County Jail to await his initial appearance before a magistrate.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office also charged Kira Pullen (21) of Spencer for possession of controlled substance 2nd offense marijuana = serious misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia = simple misdemeanor. Pullen was issued citations and given a court date to appear in front of a magistrate at a later time.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
